Women make the world go ’round and they certainly make The Lenny Dobens Agency go ’round, too. International Women’s Day gives us the perfect opportunity to celebrate the women who are the cornerstone of our business. Without their talents, brains, skills and passion we couldn’t be what we are today. Let me introduce you to the ladies of TLDA-

Sheila Shaw has been working for TLDA as the Jill-of-all-Trades long before TLDA was TLDA. As Lenny’s “right hand woman” for years, she knows where all the bodies are buried, so to speak and was instrumental in ensuring we continue operating with the high standards Lenny had for his business. She facilitated our transition to an LLC in 2016. Maybe you’ve seen her at Hampshire Hills when she’s not in the office or have tried to outsmart her at a trivia night. Sheila is a loving mom, grandmother and devoted friend to all- especially the furry four-legged kind. She loves the outdoors especially when it’s cold and she (no)-bakes the most amazing Turds at Christmas.

Darlene Panella, my dear friend, and World’s Greatest Number-Cruncher keeps the lights on at TLDA. She actually thinks numbers are “fun”- true story. She said so herself. Even bigger than her passion for figures is her passion and undying devotion for her family. Her 3 amazing, accomplished kids are a testimony to her selfless dedication. Her home and her heart are full with furry four-legged rescued pets. Darlene loves good food and travel and Boston and yoga and wine- all my favorite things, too! Darlene works remotely from her home in Houston, TX and visits TLDA whenever she gets a chance- which is still never enough. If you ever need an accountant, I’ll gladly share her contact info with you.

It makes perfect sense that International Women’s Day happens to be Kristin Sullivan’s birthday. Kristin is the creative talent behind TLDA. Responsible for our communications, marketing and promotions, she makes everything a little sweeter around here. A Retired Coast Guard Veteran, (advancing from enlisted to Petty Officer First Class in just 6 years) and now a Coast Guard wife, she juggles 4 gorgeous children, a small-business of her own- Fair Winds Creations, a cross-fit obsession and all the warm-fuzzies at TLDA. Due to her military lifestyle, Kristin is always on the move and currently helps us out remotely, but we are counting the days until she heads north this summer while her husband is away at Officer Candidate School. Did I also mention she’s held the title for World’s Greatest Daughter-in-Law for the past three years??

Cheers to all my “girls”!! I absolutely couldn’t do it without them and it definitely wouldn’t be as much fun.
